Default Arctic weather has hit us

and froze our hot water pipe. seems wierd that the cold wather is ok, but the hot isn't. DH checked the heater, it's fine, but the HW pipe under the house has ice all around it. He's under there right now with a heat gun warming it. Fun stuff. Hoping that it isn't cracked or broken under the ice.

Yes hot water pipes freeze faster than cold water. I always thought that was weird too! Hope it thaws without any problems!

I hope that your DH gets them thawed with no problems.

I hope your DH is able to get some insulation for your pipes Missy! I hate that you're having this weather. It makes it so difficult on everyone. We go throught stretches of 30 below every Winter around Janurary and Feburary. It's pretty crippling.
