Deal or No Deal
Okay, I admit I like this show. I had never seen it before, but some how ended up watching it. If you haven't seen it, there are a certain number of brief cases and one contains 1 million dollars. There are varying amounts from .01 up. You choose one case and have to open a certain number of the others. The amounts inside are eliminated from the board. The "Banker" calls and offers a certain amount for your case. Do you take the cash or move on to see if your case has the big money? It is pretty suspenseful, and I found myself wondering what I would do.

We watched this yesterday too and yes we enjoyed it. It's one of those things where the simplest ideas are the best.

I saw it once and loved it. But I have to tell you, I would take the money pretty darn fast! I would be crushed if I gambled and lost when it could be enough to pay off my cc or my mortgage! I just have no guts! I was yelling at the TV for the lady to take the money!!

We've been watching it all week with the kids. They really enjoy it, and we've been using it to teach them decision making and probability (though we don't call it that lol)

I caught part of it the other night for the first time and enjoyed it. I was playing along, too-- trying to decide what minimum offer from the banker I'd have to take rather than keeping my case until the end. I finally decided I'd hold out for $50,000.

We watched it and loved it too. A friend of mine from work and her DH have applied to be on the show, it was a huge amount of things that they wanted for the application, a video of the contestant (my friend's brother works as a video producer in Dallas so he helped them put their video together and helped edit it and made it look professional), face photo shots and full body shots of contestant and all her support people he/she is bringing, a questionaire with some essay type questions. I think a person would have to be very motivated to do all of that to be on there. I guess that a million dollars is a great motivator, LOL
. I will let you know if my friend or her DH is chosen.
