The 5 love languages is a great book!
Have you read this!
I have heard about it in homeschooling circles and found it at Value Village today.
It explains soooo much. It says there are five ways to show love and everyone has a preference for one type.
It is a real eye opener to realize what type you need vs the type your Dh needs and the types your children need.
The five types are
#1 words of affirmation
#2 Quality time
#3Recieving gifts
#4Acts of service
#5 Physical touch.
Everyone is different! So for instance if you are a #2 but your Dh is a #4 and you give your Dh a #2 which is what you want he still may not feel loved and neither will you!
I figured out I am a #4 and Dh is #5.
Eldest Dd is a #1 and #4.
Ds is a #5 and #2.
Youngest Dd is a #2 and #3.
I highly recomend this book! It could save marriages, and relationships with other loved ones.....
Happy I found this bargain.......

I second the recommendation! Philip and I have really found it useful in our marriage. He's a 2 and I'm a 5 and we just couldn't put our finger on why we were feeling unloved sometimes. In my Christian counseling classes this book is one of the first in our "tool kit".

I also rate this book highly. My husband and I both read it together. He is #1 and I am a #5! It is amazing what reading this book can do for your marriage, family, and work!!
