    Default Television Programs

Reading another thread about "Can you live without your television" got me to thinking about what we really watch on tv.

What shows are "regulars" at your house?

Well, I could live without them, but I enjoy:

    House
    Desperate Housewives
    Lost
    Survivor
    The Simpsons
    Family Guy

I used to prefer sitcoms, but since the death of Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier, I prefer the dramas above.

I also like "non-fiction" tv- I like documentaries, etc, but don't get to watch too much tv anyway.

Law and Order CI and SVU
    CSI-all 3
    Without a Trace
and most of the time-My name is Earl
    Food Network
    HGTV

It looks like I watch a lot of TV but I go through phases when I don't turn it on at all and other times I watch several hours a day. But my dh is completely addicted, he wouldn't know what to do with himself if he didn't watch TV for at least 8 hours a day.

I mostly watch the oldies on TVLand. I've got "Good Times" on right now. I loved that show as a teenager. It's Dynomite!! I love the Brady Bunch reruns and also, I Love Lucy and Bewitched and lots more.
The Food Network shows- 'The Barefoot Contessa" Paula Dean's show and 'Semi Homemade Cooking are favs of mine.
I am a huge Martha Stewart fan, I never miss her daytime show.
I also watch lots of political shows. I love politics!
Oh and I love PBS- there's a new documentary debuting on Jan. 8th, (I believe) from the filmmaker David Sutherland. I can't wait. He did the 'Farmer's Wife" several years ago, one of my favorite 'Frontline' series.
