Question Deborah Tukua - has anyone read any of her books?

Her books are Pearls of Kitchen Wisdom Plearls of Garden Wisdom and Pearls of Country Wisdom

She also has another book titled Citrus Morning Noon and Night: A Citrus Cookbook

I've never heard of her until I read a Countryside magazine and she is mentioned in there.

    Anyone?

I ordered the three Pearls books (all our library system had) on ILL and should have them soon.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm eager to see what info she has.

Have you read them at all, or are you looking to see if they are something you might be able to get into that new library?

(BTW, I assumed from your post you haven't read her, but I've been wrong before, as completely shocking as that is.)

Then I'll definitely let you know how the books are.

I got one from the library Pearls of Country Wisdom, I think.

Honestly, I read 10 pages. It's not written in paragraphs. It's tidbits. I need more depth. They also didn't seem to be much of a particular order.

    It looks something like this:

*Decorate your country kitchen with glass canning jars filled with prettily colored dried beans.

*Kitchen towels make great cafe curtains. Just run a straight branch through a casing and attach to the wall.

*You can make a suspended pot-hanger from an old wagon wheel. Simply ....

Like I have a wagon wheel sitting around my suburban home! Not my cup of tea, but maybe it's yours.

The garden book came in and I picked it up a couple hours ago. I'll let you know what I think.
