What was the main attraction to drawing you to the town/city you live in

DH. This is where he has spent his entire adult life. I lived in a huge city two hours away when we met. Since he has a son from his first marriage, I thought it was more important for them to stay in the same city and continue to have a strong relationship. I was a little scared about moving here, but turns out I love small city life! So much in fact, I moved my mom down here too. She lives five minutes from us.

The fact that land in my hometown was getting very pricey for this area. (Everyone finding out what I already knew...great place to live!) Combine that with the fact that DH will inherit the 40 acres we're on...bam...we're here.

The only costs when we originally located here was to clear the "yard" area, put down a septic tank and well, and electric and phone setups
