Question What's the name of your town/city newspaper

We have the Brandon Sun delivered to our town. Along with that, the Winnipeg Free Press is also delivered here.

Our own town paper is called the Hart-Cam News. It is about 6 pages long, however I'm sure it will get bigger now that we have a movie being made here.

It's also free and delivered to our mail boxes once a month.

There are several newspapers in our area -The Charlotte Observer is the biggest, the Independent-Tribune (my former employer) covers two of the smaller suburbs as does the Salisbury Post (my current employer).

We have the Kingsport Times and the Johnson City Press. Although I still catch myself reading the online papers from where we went to college (The Sylva Herald) as well as the ones from back home.....The Hickory Daily Record and The Charlotte Observer to see if anyone I know of is in the news....lol

The Lincoln Journal Star is the big one & the local, weekly paper is called The Voice.
LJS is $200/year & the Voice is $25/year. I get the LJS for around $100 because of an HUGE promotion several years back & each year when it's time to renew....I just call & complain about the increase from what I payed last year & they adjust my rate. I'm sure it won't work forever, though. Once, I even had them cancel it for a few weeks & sure enough, they called & offered me the reduced rate. Go figure.

Kat, dh and I do something similar. We go on-line to read the newspaper from the town we were born in. We always read the obituaries to see who has died.
