Disney's Sleeping Beauty
I have a question. Princess Aurora is Julia's favorite Disney Princess. She LOVES Sleeping Beauty the movie, also. We rented the video from the library (unfortunately, it was for the sight impaired, so there was this guy talking throughout the whole thing, describing what was on the screen.)
Anyway, for her birthday, my Dad wanted to get her the DVD. It is not for sale ANYWHERE. It's not even for sale on video. (I'm sure they are somewhere on eBay, but my Dad is afraid of eBay.
Does anyone know why they aren't for sale? I remember when they used to take their videos off the market for awhile, but I thought that once they went DVD, everything was pretty much out there.
Anyone?

They still do the "take off the shelves" thing, as far as I know. I don't know that for sure but I know my sister has been looking for it too.
I hope you find it! I know I've seen the VHS at Kids' consignment stores so maybe that would be an option?

I don't know much about these dvd's but is it a re-release of the 1959 version? or is it a new version? I get so confused with Disney movies and how they work.

Amy,
A suggestion, try Amazon.com. If Amazon does not have it directly, you may be able to get it from one of the 'sellers' on their site. I have bought a lot old films that way. I have not been disappointed with the quality. BUT if they have it, it may be expensive or it may be on VHS only.

I think it's just a re-release of the original.Originally posted by Sara Noel

I see seller listings for it on Amazon like Vannie suggested.
