Wow-- this will definately be a change in practice for me as a nurse. Now, hopefully the patients will remember that this a DRUG/ MEDICATION when they are admitted to the hospital. I can't tell you how many forget to list their inhalers for asthma, their creams for psoriasis, and herbal remedies--- creating all sorts of problems for us a few days later.

I was just reading about this the other day. I think this will be great for little kids who are diagnosed.

That is great news, Sara. I'm diabetic but I take pills not injections. But who knows maybe one day this might be very helpful to me. I'm glad to know someone is diligently working on this illness.

My son (9yrs old) is diabetic, and is jumping for joy right now... Granted, his Dr. may not want him on it at first, but my son now knows that there is a possiblity to avoid a lot of injections in the future.... I am excited too.. I hate giving him shots all the time.. Maybe with this, he will be able to control his diabetes more willingly and just be able to control it in general. YEAH!!!!!!
