We had a great time!
Well we had a great time last night, UB40 were brilliant and everyone just stood up when they came on and danced and swayed to the music, including me!
We felt sorry for the support band who were on first as everyone was rushing to and fro getting drinks and food all through their performance. It was a shame, they were OK but hardly anyone was listening to them.
A couple of little things were annoying but by no means spoilt the evening. We were all sat on the grassed area (It was held at our zoo) and there were two couples in front of us and the one girl hardly stopped talking from when she got there! She went on and on and on talking to her friend, goodness knows why she paid for a ticket, she might as well have stayed at home and listened the sound of her own voice for free!
Another little thing that annoyed us was a few people totally ignoring the no smoking rule. Normally there is no smoking at all at the zoo, but for this event they had made a designated area away from the entertainment where people could go if they wanted to smoke, there was no smoking allowed on the lawn area. But, you can guess there had to be one or two who ignored this and you could smell the smoke and see it rising, totally inconsiderate as well as dangerous.
It was a wonderful warm evening, we had taken some sweaters to wear in case it turned a bit cool but it stayed lovely and warm.
We really enjoyed it, a small technical hitch lost us the sound for a few minutes but they soon had it fixed and we were up and running again! Wonderful, hope they're come here again soon!
