Oh, that is news. I have a subscription. I liked it, but I never loved it. Oh well, it might have helped if they would have been more frugal with some of their ideas.

I think their idea of frugal and my idea of frugal are the difference in night and day. I guess a lot of other people felt that way too.

Just chiming in to agree with everything everyone has said.
I only read one interesting article in the year or so that I had a (free) subscription. It was the one about the family that reminded me of Amy D's family. Other than that, there was never really anything good in there....
Hahaha, I just saw that it was geared toward "35-year-old, affluent women."
I think that may have been their problem.

I did enjoy it. I liked the kitchy decorating that they did and the articles on the parties with the sales tape included to see what they spent. I would not have spent the amount of money that they did on things but it was fun to look at.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. I had a free subscription, and honestly, I hated it.

Another one of my "freebie" mags is gone, also. Organic Style

Oh that is funny. I was visiting my parents this past weekend and my mom had a subscription from her air miles. I paged through it and just laughed. Their idea of "cheap finds" were $36 and $48 tank tops. Maybe the magazine would have lasted longer if it had a different name!

I had a free subscription to this magazine, and was never impressed. I don't like the "Real Simple" mag, either. They both assume their readers have six figure incomes.

I had a free subscription and barely looked at it. My idea of budget and theirs were not the same.
