    Question Library book confessions?

Do you have any tales to tell about library books you have borrowed?
The preprimary school just called me. I borrowed a book in March and forgot to return it. LOL oops.
No fees, but geesh a tad bit embarrassing.
I once lost a library book as child and was scared to death I was on some blacklist that would follow me to the ends of the earth.

Gabe and I love the library and sometimes we'll go weekly.

I just got my first card since high school! When I was a freshman I borrowed a ton of books on gardening for a project and they were late and the fees added up and added up and finally I just never returned them and they gave up. I returned them all on an amnesty day, but had gotten out of the habit of going by then. When I signed up this week in my new town I was a little nervous that they would stamp a huge REJECT on my application and tell me I have some sort of a permanent record.

I was just checking our local library's online catalog for books about Scrabble. I want to get some used books to help get better at playing.

I just wish there was a better selection of books at our library.

Betsy, check and see if your library is part of a cooperative system. If so, you can geneerally have books transferred from another library to yours to pick up. I work at the library here and we are part of a multi (14!) library coop. Also, most libraries have their catalogues online these days, so you can browse at home!

You would not believe some of the things that happen to library books. My favorite? Puppy-chewed dog obedience books! My leeeeeaaaast fav? Urine soaked books put in our night drop !

Well, last year I dropped a paperback library book into a mud puddle and pretty much ruined it, I went to return it and try to pay for it, and they wouldn't let me! They were so nice about it. I love my library! (I later found another copy of that book at a yard sale in excellent condition for 10 cents, so I went ahead and donated it.)

We were cleaning out my mother's basement awhile ago and found a copy of "Spooky Tricks", which was a magic book that was due back to the Cobblestone School Library (my elementary school) on May 3, 1977! I'm guessing they won't be hunting me down for fines, since my old school is now a nursing home!
