I am reading my son's Harry Potter books, cute books, I've enjoyed them so far. My son hates to read so this is a joint effort, and he can't hardly put them down now....and I'm glad

    Thumbs up Wonderful books

Hi, I have just discovered a book "serie" by Elizabeth Peters, an English author. She writes historical detective novels. One of her heroes is Amelia Peabody, who travels through Egypt at the end of the 19th century together with her husband, an archaeologist.
I have always been a fan of the old Egypt and these books combine history, romance and thriller all in one! I can highly recommend them. If you want to know any details ~ just e-mail me.
On my website you find more book recommendations. Why not have a look at it?! (http://www.ninar.beep.de)

I have almost finished reading "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. This was a huge literary hit several years ago, but for some reason I missed it.

The book is wonderfully written, but the only thing I am getting out of it is how great my childhood was compared to his. I have learned a lot about Ireland during the Depression-era.

Right now I'm reading a historical romance called Heaven Sent. I don't usually like romances, but I like them when they're historically based.

I'm reading "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean Auel. I read this back when I was in high school and really enjoyed it, so I decided to read it again now just for fun.
