If the TV is on before 4pm, it is the Science Channel. DH and dd sometimes watch Sci-fi channel in the evenings, Dr. Who, Startrek, Farscape. That is about it, except for America's Funniest Home videos once in a while.

From 7am until 11am (while the kids are getting ready or at school) it's on the local news station or Fox News. If at all. Usually after dropping the kids off to school the tv stays off.
After 11am when ds gets home from he watches a Dora the Explorer or Thomas the Tank video after lunch. After that, it's off until the evening news at 6pm. After the news we watch America's Funniest Home Videos or Storm Stories or nothing.
The older two watch Survivor with dh & I on Thursday nights. Dh & I watch CSI Las Vegas on Thursday nights.
We really don't watch a lot of tv.

Usually tv doesn't come on here till 5pm then its Dr. Phil and the news while I get supper ready. After supper it goes off til around 8 pm then it depends on who's watching. If its Dh its something sporty, me or DD its a movie. Sometimes a rerun of West wing.
Not big tv watchers.

None & no one
We let Isabel watch a video in the mornings and that's it. In the evenings we watch only Lost (Wednesdays) Alias (Wednesdays) & Survivor. We're seriously thinking about getting rid of our "lifeline" cable service.

Our Tv is on from 6 am to 10 am watching the morning new then I turn the radio on. Back on at 4pm when dh and the girls get home. They let me watch Paula Dean on the food network then they get to take over for a few hours. We all like CSI shows and I like to watch wife swap, the nanny, and ghost whisperer.
I need to cut back on the tv being on the girls our out of school in four weeks.

It is just me here during the day so I usually only have it on to watch Y&R so just that one hour. In the evenings we watch a few shows as a family......Amazing Race and Survivor and a few other specials that might be on. We don't watch a lot of tv here

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
this is classified info you know!!!!! TV moguls wanna know what I'm watching (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much XFiles!!!!!) and it's ALL A SECRET CONSPIRACY
shhhhhhhh and I'll whisper to you!
Cityline out of Toronto which is a Canadian cooking, decorating, fashion, and gardening show. This may NOT come as a terrible shock to most.
The Young and the Restless especially when I've been sucked back into the story by watching with fil. Victoria got married today, Victor actually gave her away, and Brad's DOOM is coming closer. Can't miss it! Phyllis is pregnant and GASP, we are all guessing as to whether it's Jack's baby or Nicholas which will spell the END of his marriage to the ever weepy Sharon, who will sob and collapse into Brad's ready arms. Yep, Brad has DOOM all over him, with a little Sharon to help.
Passions. Just love the mermaid story, and anything with Endora in it. Someday Gwen will get her comeuppance, but it being Passions, and a day lasts at least 6 weeks, I won't hold my breath. Sheridan on the other hand held her breath while drowning for 6 weeks, and got rescued by Luis without a sign of brain damage. I adored Precious the orangutan RN, reminded me of nurses I used to work with, so sorry that story is done.
Then there is Star Trek the Original, Next Gen, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. I have most of them on tape for those awful days when not much else is on worth watching.
Can we forget the intrepid travels of SG ONE of Star Gate? I think not! It never fails to amaze how everyone in this galaxy and at least several nearby galaxies speak English. I am amassing a collection of DVDs of all the seasons. Awaiting the release of Season Nine with bated breath!
They moved XFiles past my bedtime, it's showing after 8:30 pm weeknights now. SOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In current evening shows, not soaps, not daytime, I enjoy:
INVASION!!!! Woooohooo what's not to like? Xfiles rides again! This time in the Florida keys, and it's aliens, government cover ups, and shifting allegiances. Hard to track but very good tv! And it's on BEFORE bedtime! Take that Xfiles!!!!!
Grey's Anatomy. I normally never watch medical shows, either they are full of stupid errors or they are too realistic and remind me of bad days at work, but this one is neither. I enjoy watching the character's lives unfold. Soaper.
Desperate Housewives. I love their crazy antics, and the way they solve their problems. Really another soap, but evenings.
NCIS which is Dh's favourite and I really enjoy watching with him. I love the Goth gal in the lab, and Ducky. I'm enjoying Ziva, but I'm bored with the incipient and looming romance (dooooom again) between that very handsome Gibbs, and the Director.
That's it, and it's a shocking waste of time, but I do enjoy it.
I may add that I do redeem some of the time. I do housework in the commercials, or I tape and watch on fast forward (Passions) where I zip thru the repetitive stuff (Sheridan's dithering, Whitneys' agonizing, and the like) and also thru the commercials.Last edited by canadian gardener; 05-09-2006 at 10:58 PM.

Lol, Margery about Y&R.
It's me who watches during the day from 12:30-3 usually. Y&R, Bold & Beautiful & As the World Turns.
Computer is in the living room so I'm usually multitaskingl.
I don't sit here all day, lol. I'm one of those people that pops up & down & in & out to do different things.
Off to clean the kitchen...
