    Smile Anyone have TIVO?

I was just wondering if anyone has a TIVO unit and what they thought of it. I just purchased one via the TiVo website, actually it was free with a discounted 1 years contract. I work nights so I always miss primetime television, I usually tape (VCR) shows that I want to watch but the amount of the monthly service is less than what I am spending on blank tapes each month. I am looking forward to getting my machine and getting it set up. The email said it should be here in 4-6 business days so I figure probably the first part of next week.

I love our Tivo! I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It will completely change the way you watch TV.

You can set it to record programs individually, or for programs you watch on a regular basis you can set a "season pass' and it will record every episode of the entire season for you! The part I love the most is being able to fast forward through all the commercials.

If your watching a live show, you can pause it and come back. You can also have it recording one show, and watch another show live. I could go on and on. You're going to love it!!

We do and I love it. We just program season pass on the shows we enjoy and watch them when we have time. I love clicking past the commercials.
I also like at holiday time to be able to tivo all the holiday shows for the kids.

Yup, we do. We LOVE it! I use it all the time! With a little 'en, I can't always get to watch a show when it's on...so I can squeeze in 15 minutes here & there.

Plus it's good for the kids...they get to watch what they want, when they want.

We bought our first TiVO years ago when they first came out. As a matter of fact, we owned one of the first 1000 units (they made a big deal about it) and it is still working great.

That unit is upstairs now, and has lifetime service (they used to offer lifetime service for $250.) We have a DirectTiVO downstairs- a satellite box and DVR in one.

Obviously, we are very happy with it. I love that DD doesn't really see any commercials.

We don't, but I wish we did. It's on our "wishlist"

Wow, I ordered our TiVo late Tuesday afternoon and it is scheduled to be delivered by UPS today. I checked the tracking number and it is on the truck and headed to my house. I am so impressed by the quick delivery. I am excited, like a kid at Christmas. I can't wait to get it all set up.

Thanks for all the postive reviews ladies, I am even more excited now.
