Default Our Mayor Died Last Night

Sadly, Pittsburgh's Mayor, Bob O'Connor died last night of a brain tumor. His successor is only 26 years old. I pray he will be able to lead the city effectively.

We had a similar situation happen several years ago in Prattville. Our successor was around 28 at the time. He has been the BEST thing to happen to the city. He has just turned 40 (I think). The city has become one of the fastest growing, lots of economic growth, new businesses, good schools. Really cannot say a bad thing about him. Hope your situation turns out as well as ours did.

Well, I wish the young new Mayor much success. I know I wouldn't have been ready to run anything at that age, but I also know a lot of young mayors have done fabulous jobs.

I live only a 45 minute drive from Pittsburgh and consider Pittsburgh my second home as we go there alot. I had been following the mayor's illness and was saddened to learn that he had died. He had some good ideas for cthe city and seemed to be a popular mayor up until his illness. Hugs and prayers to all of you in the city of Pittsburgh.

Sorry to hear the sad news. In Indiana, a few short years ago, our governor had a major stroke and died. It was a shock. The lieutenent governor took over and started turning things around. Unfortunately he was not re elected. Our new governor....well......
