Anna Nicole Smith Has Baby And Her Older Son Dies

I just read this on AOL. Anna Nicole Smith gave birth to a baby girl 3 days ago (I didn't know she was pregnant) and her 20 year old son was found dead in the Bahamas yesterday. What a shock that had to be. I don't care too much for Anna Nicole's behavior but I feel really bad for her loss. The cause of death has not been determined. It was obvious that she really loved her son. My heart goes out to her.

Wow. I'm with you, not a big fan of her behavior, but feel bad for her if she's lost her son.

Actually, I didn't know she had a son that age... I thought her son was around 14 or so.

I just saw this too. It's so sad, he was so young.

I watched a few episodes of her show when it was on a few years ago, and it's hard to imagine her son being 20. I guess he was 14 or 15 at the time, but still it seemed like he was such a young kid at the time.

I was so shocked to hear about her son. My heart goes out to her. My daughter said this evening that she had heard he suffered a massive heart attack. I think she said she heard on the news, but I'm not sure. So sad.

I think this has a very odd slant to it. WHY would a seemingly healthy 20 YO drop dead from a heart attack?

What a heartbreaking time for Anna Nicole.

It's not unheard of. He could have had some heart defect that was undetected. I remember a few years ago there was a college basketball player (Len Byers, I think?), who was the picture of health, and who dropped over dead on the court during the Final Four.

They just said on the Today Show that he died while visiting Anna Nicole in the hospital.....Sad.

I remember watching her show a few years ago and feeling so sorry for the poor kid, having a wacko doped out mom.. he seemed like a sweet kid. Sad.

You know, for some strange reason I always liked Anna Nicole. I am not saying that I always thought everything she did was ok - I didn't. However, she did a lot with what she has and where she came from. I remember those Guess jeans ads that made her famous -- she was twice the size of the other waifs, and looked simply beautiful. She took all of us who are not a size 6 a lot closer to mainstream beauty.

She grew up on the wrong side of the tracks dirt poor, without even a hig school diploma, from what I read, and is now a wealthy celebrity. Might not have been the way we would all choose to do it, but as a single mom, I respect her for trying to give her children what they needed financially. Also, in every interview I ever saw, she spoke of her beloved son so fondly. Maybe the reason she used all the drugs and got off the path was because she did not always approve of herself either. I feel sorry for her, and I think that she did her best.

Anytime someone loses a child it must be devastating, and how bittersweet for it to occur near the birth of her precious baby girl.

Just read an article stating that authorities are going to press charges against "someone" in the death of Daniel Smith. It said they know another person was in the hospital room that night and they know what he died of but are not releasing any names of information yet. The artical was very clear that Anna Nicole was not the suspect.
