What are you reading this month?
I have a couple of books to read. I am going to try to get through Deception Point by Dan Brown, I started it last spring but never got very far in it. The author is the same man who wrote The Da Vinci Code. I am going to pick up Amazonia by James Rollins at the library tomorrow, it sounds really good, action and adventure in the Amazon.
What is everyone reading? I am looking for recommendations.
I like to get a list going for winter.

I am getting caught up on reading my magazines this month. Dear mom, gave me a gift subscription to Woman's Day and I subscribe to Discipleship Journal, Today's Christian Woman and Marriage Partnership. If I finish those then I will probably read a frugal book of some sort.

I'm working on American Bee by James Maguire. It's a non-fiction book about the Spelling Bee and English language and it's really interesting!

EmilyD...Tony Hillerman is one of my favorite authors...
I'm reading sciencey stuff lately -- "The Mind of the Raven", a book about a raven researcher and the birds he studies (awesome book, this is a second read). I'm also reading "Last Child in the Woods", a book about what the author calls "nature deficit disorder". The author is giving a talk (for free!) at the community college in my town next week.
Next on my list is Palace Walk, an Egyptian novel that is supposed to be excellent.

I went to a book sale this weekend, so I'm into 3 books from that and one I was already reading. I'm almost finished "Godless" by Ann Coulter. Can't wait to get more of her books to read! From the sale I've stared " The Home" by John R. Rice ( I read this one years ago), thought it might be nice to refresh. I also got "You, the Owner's Manual" by Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz. And last but not least, I started a book my hubby just finished. He loved it and wanted me to read it. It's a very old book (1887), that he pick up at a thrift shop. It's called the "Philosphy of the Plan of Salvation" by James B. Walker. I seem to read more nonfiction! When these are finished I think I'll read some fiction

I'm not getting much reading done...with all the running around I do during the day & all the knitting projects I have going on for Christmas presents. But I did start "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" by Gregory Maguire. I've read all his other twists on fairy tales (I think..) and have loved them. So far so good with this one.
