    Thanks so much for this article.....I was pleasantly surprised to see that dh and I have been doing most of those things for years now. We do not give our children an allowance now though as they have part-time jobs however we do supply them with their basic needs along with paying for their sports(limited to one sport at a time each) and what we are willing to pay for clothes for them....if they want the designer clothes then they have to make up the difference with their own money added to what we will provide for them but more chances then not they will only pick up a designer article of clothing once in a great while.
