Yes I would.
As a matter of fact, I once received back $10.00 from Wendy's and did not know it right away. I went back to the drive through just a few minutes later and gave the money back to the cashier. I really think that she thought I was wierd!
Oh well, I felt better.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

I usually do. There have been times when I have not. But 9 times out of 10 I will return it. We got a pair of jeans that we did not pay for once at the mall. I returned them to the store on the next trip to the mall. I believe the cashier thought I was strange.

Always! Even if it means going back and doing it.
Dh is the same way he once went into a bank to cash a check he had been given for a job. Instead of 1000.00 the teller gave him 2,000.00. She put the money in an envelope and he just brought it home. He didn't bother to count it. Well I went into his wallet for the money and discovered the overage. Monday morning he was at the door at opening time just in time to keep the girl from being arrested for stealing. Can you imagine if he hadn't gone back how her life would have been ruined for a crime she didn't do?!

Absolutely!!! Always!!!
And as an ex-bank teller, I can say that I always appreciate the honesty of others as well! There is nothing worse than having your drawer come up short.

I always do, number 1 because its just not right to keep it because its not mine, and number 2, the missing money comes out of the cashier's pocket.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know

you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no

every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I wouldn't drive across town to return a quarter, but if I noticed I had too much change I would give it back, or if it was a lot I would go back with it if I noticed later. If it was the bank, I would just call them - they're going to find the mistake anyway, might as well save everyone the hassle.
I never use cash anyway, so this doesn't really happen to me.

Of course, in fact once I was at the bank with checks to deposit some and get some in cash. I got to my car and discovered that I had $600.00 to much and took it back in.

Yes I do. I would want someone to do the same for me if I ever gave them too much.

We have had the same thing happen to us at Wal-Mart. We had to expain to the customer service worker three times what had happened. She did not want to take our money. Finally another worker came over and helped explain it to her and she took the money then. It almost took an act of Congress to pay for a couple of 12 packs of soda.
