I am so ready for it. I love American Idol but, being from Alabama and having Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard fans everywhere (they are both from Alabama)- it is crazy here. It is on the border line of being obsessive, somewhat cult-like. Everyone I know is having AI parties, AI girl's night, AI get togethers of every nature.
I just watch it at home with the family.DD (19)

I love, love the auditions!!!! I think that some of the people try out on a dare and know they have no talent. (They have to know they have no musical talent...don't they.) LOLOLOLOL

In New Zealand we get to see AI about 6 weeks after you....so once it gets closer to the finals I'm not going to read this thread any more! Don't want to spoil it for me!
We also have New Zealand Idol here, but it's much less glitzy than AI. We're not so much into all that OTT stuff !

I am so excited that AI is back!
It is shown here in England on Friday night which is a great cheap night in for us.
I have to really discipline myself towards the end to not peek into the threads before I watch the show too!
Pop Idol and The X Factor over here are slowly getting more glitzy by the season with more good quality guests on, but still small fry compared to American Idol. Look out for Leona Lewis, she recently won X Factor here and I believe Simon Cowell is going to try to launch her in the US too.

Ugg....I forgot to record it. Joe had been out of town Monday night and we got home last night I grabbed some take out and we watched a movie after I got home from work. I knew I was forgetting something. I know have the DVR set to record it from now on though

I think the "lion girl" is going to be this year's William Hung.
