Field Trip! Sorry it struck me funny thinking that whoevers ashes they are, were on one last trip. I know-I'm wierd.
Hope whomever the ashes "belong" to come claim them.

This actually doesn't surprise me. I've worked on several claen outs where ashes we're found. What do you do with them if no relative wants them? Or if no relative is around. The 2 sets I've found I took out to the beach and sprinkled on the water.

You were the first person that I thought of after watching this video ~ I was wondering how many times you had found an urn left behind!

It makes sense really, someone passed away & there was no other family - so it all got donated - at least I hope that's what happened.

Second thought ~ maybe it's someone's pet. ((every pet in our family over the years, even if it was a foster - get's cremated)) - there isn't a room you walk into anymore that doesn't have an urn somewhere in it - and not all urns are engraved. My wonderful sheltie, JoJo, has a beautiful marble urn - around the urn hangs a chain with an engraved circle - so I can see how the chain could be lost over the years -

The urn in the video was small - pets use infant/child urns - so I think it's very possible that "Fluffy" may have been inside and not "Grandpa"

My Bil had his father in a suitcase for 10 years. I can see how this could happen.

Awww, I hope someone claims him/her. I'm the type who would take it home and keep it just because no one else claimed it.
