Are there any Days of Our Lives fans?

I have been watching Days of Our Lives since 1985. I was just wondering if anyone else watches it.

I do...I heard a rumor the other day, though, that the show will be cancelled w/in 2 yrs or so because NBC is getting out of doing soaps. Passions is gone too, but I didn't watch that one.

Really? I wonder how much teeth that rumor has. Isn't DOOL supposed to be one of the top rated soaps? If that is so then maybe another network will pick it up.

I did not hear anything about that. I have watched those characters for so long I can't imagine not seeing them.

Are any of you disgusted with EJ? I knew he was no good the first time I saw him but he is worse than Stefano in my opinion.

I have watched it on and off since my mom watched it when I was a kid. I watched it in college, quit for a few years, and started watching again when DD was a baby. Now it's hit or miss as to when I watch it or not.

I haven't seen it in about a month, but I use the information button on my cable tv to read the summary of each day's episode, so I stay caught up on the story lines in general even when I don't watch it.

Yep, I have watched it for quite a few years. I watch Passions too. I thought for sure when Passions started that there was no way I was going to watch that show since it replaced Another World, but I caved in and watch both. I don't go out of my way to watch, but I do watch it several times a week if I am home.

Some of my earliest memories are watching Days on my mom's lap as a little girl. I watched it when I was a teenager but stopped during the whole Marlena devil-possessed thing.

That whole Marlena devil thing almost stopped me from watching the show. I disliked that storyline soooooo much.

We have TIVO so I can fast forward over the parts I do not like or are dragging on for too long. Right now I do not like EJ so when he comes on I fast forward.

My DH is so funny because he will watch it if I put it on but he gets all of their names mixed up. If I have to take the dog out or get the laundry from the cellar when the show is on he will try and tell me what happened but he gets Shawn and Phillip mixed up all of the time. If I am really interested in the part I will just watch the part again later. (The magic of TIVO.)

Does anyone think Zach is still alive somewhere? I think we will find out that Zach's death was not real and that he is being held by Stefano.

I watch it and Passions. I use to tape Passions daily but now I just watch it online while at work or on Saturday & Sunday when Joe's at work. As far as DOOL, I heard that NBC might not renew their contract after this latest one is up as well. A lot of station are doing big budget cuts and getting rid of contract players and bring in a no name recast so they don't have to pay them as much as the big name soap stars.

But speaking of actors leaving due to contracts or storylines, did you see where Matthew Ashford (Jack) is coming back soon. Not sure for how long but its suppose to be soon.

I love Matthew Ashford. He is a terrific actor. I appreciate his intelligent, dry humor.

I have watched DOOL for as long as I can remember. My grandparents watched it and my Mom watched it too so I grew up watching it. I almost feel like Salem is my childhood home, LOL, I have been watching the residents of Salem for so long.

I am so happy that Jack is coming back, I hated it when they sent him and Jen to Europe and they left poor Abby behind.

What character(s) would you like to see come back to Salem? I would love to see Shane and Kim come home and Mike Horton too.
