SALT LAKE CITY (Reuters) - Polygamist Tom Green has spent a lot of time extolling the virtues of taking multiple wives. On Tuesday, he will learn what price he must pay for his lifestyle when he is sentenced for raping a minor -- a girl he married when she was just 13 years of age. The man who lived with five wives and 29 children and has gone on national television to talk about his life was convicted in June of raping Linda Kunz Green after he married her in 1986, when he was 37 and she was 13. The marriage produced a son, Melvin.

I don't know how many of you have read about this guy, but it's pretty twisted.
I saw a long tv program on he and his "family". This man has fathered 33 children. They were living on this communal type compound with mobile homes kind of lined up.
One very sick thing, (outside of the age factor of some of these "wives", is that he married a mother, then her daughter)

I saw him on a couple of TV shows.... the wives would get together and make a schedule of where he slept each night. Very bizarre.
The kids called all of the wives mom.

this totally grosses me out. I try no to judge but come on. this is just really sad. What is wrong with those women to think it is okay for him to have so many wives. and what is up with that 13 year olds parents to let her marry him???? I don't think they gave him enough time. though you have to wonder how do they take care of 33 children?

I watched a program on tv about him also. He figures hes done no wrong. It makes me sick.

I would be willing to bet that 13 yo's mom was a wife too.
Some of the wives were mother and daughter.

Imagine being one of those wives. Who does stuff like this? They must be very needy or something.

I always get so mad at those kind of shows. I think why do those women put up with that kind of treatment? But I suppose if that is what you were brought up with you would think that it is ok. I really don't know though. I just think it is all gross and all those poor children!

Is he paying child support for all those 33 kids? If not why isn't someone on his case like they got on Gregg's?

How sick, I did hear today that the 13 yr old said "If we waited 6 mos he wouldnt be in trouble" How sick, I wouldn't want any girls around him. Anyone that has sex with a girl that age is just perverted!!! Just my opinion

What's interesting is that all of these polygamists in Utah say that they do it because it is the Mormon religion. The truth is, the Mormon church outlawed polygamy a long time ago. They may as well just come out and say that the reason they do it is because they are disgusting pigs.
