How long was the movie? lol. Glad you enjoyed it. I would love to see it but I havn't ordered it yet and with everything going on right now we can't afford it anyhow. I might take a trip up to the library tomorrow and see if they might be able to order it for me to view, along with the book!

What did you find for new ideas opposed to what you are already doing?

The new ideas was actually thinking about it all the time and trying to stay positive about it, and saying this is what i want and visualizing me in anew home with my hubby.
I always believed that its not there for you, u have to find it, work for it, and nothings really free in life.
So at first its hard when I watched the movie to tell myself, thats what i want and deserve.

I just watched it the other day too.I had read the other thread about it here on FV and had actually browsed the book one day at Books a Million while sipping on my "treat".. a grande latte hazlenut.( I'm talking a rare treat, I live over an hour away from the nearest bookstore ! lol)

Anyway...... the book really didn't do that much for me in terms of introducing new ideas. Glancing thru it, it's a collection of stuff I've already read since I've always been drawn to read anything I could get my hands on about this subject. But for someone else, it may be just the perfect thing for them. I think if I hadn't read anything before, it would have been more engrossing to me.

So fast forward to the other day and I actually stumble across a link where I was able to view the movie itself, plus a Larry King special on it, plus Oprah's show she did about it. I must say, the movie itself grabbed my attention in a much stronger way , as did the Larry King special. Hearing the different people speak and explain the concept seemed to be what I needed.

I know it works, because I've observed it working in my life at various times. And it works both ways .. I've believed and received.. on both ends of the spectrum. lol

All in all, I've found the ideas to be a positive tool, but I'm all about balance in life and understanding . I think what stuck with me the most was the guy's comment about finding a way to serve in life. Asking myself what values I assign to different areas of my life and realizing that I'm going to naturally give more attention to what's important to me personally. That's true of every person.

If someone values relationships over money, then they focus their energy in that direction.Or vice versa. The bigger question then becomes "Am I focusing on what I have or what I don't have?".. "How can I serve others as I make the most of enjoying this life?" Doesn't have to mean doing something that changes the world, but I still believe in that one person can do more good than they can even imagine. Don't you?

In a nutshell, it just reminded me that I always need to be asking myself what I'm thinking and feeling and what I really want, and if I find myself in a state I don't want to be in, figuring out why that is.

Beyond that, I know that I can't control others. Life does happen and things happen and it's all a natural process of life. I'm all about making it as enjoyable as I can and handling the stresses of life with the least amount of resistance.

I definately would recommend viewing the movie if you like exploring this line of thought.........
