Let's see...I'm finishing up 'Golden Country' by Jennifer Gilmore at the moment, tis pretty good thus far--kind of a slow read but interesting enough that I keep on.

    Recently I've read:

'The Time Traveler's Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger

'Stalemate' by Iris Johansen(I've enjoyed alot of hers)

Mary, Queen of Scots (a 'Royal Diaries' book that the girlie read and enjoyed, I liked it too)

I have 'Jane Eyre' (never read it before), a Route 66 adventure guide and 'Shakespeare's Secret' amongst others in my fresh library stack. The girlie checked out a Sherlock Holmes collection for us to read aloud, as well.

    Love,LOVE reading

Stumbing on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert.

The author is a professor of psychology who analyzes why the things that we thought would make us happy sometimes don't. Really fascinating.

I'm reading P.S. James' "Children of Men" at the moment. Loved the movie, the book is completely different but I like it as well, never read anything from her and I'm so impressed with her writing.

Next I'm planning on finishing Elizabeth Kostova's (?) "Historian".

Wanted to add.. I also read "Time Traveller's Wife" -- LOVED IT!!

I'm reading the Song of Ice & Fire series from George R.R. Martin. Very different than what I usually read but very entertaining.

JillB, how was 'Body Surfing' by Anita Shreve? I just picked it up from the library yesterday n added it to the stack lol.

Those of you that read 'The Time Traveler's Wife...lullaby said she loved it, what about the rest of you? I really liked it. For me, it was one of those I kept in my hand until it was finished. I never realized how many pages were going by. Intriguing would be the word...I think.

    Hi Y'all

pqb57, what's the title and who's the author of your Mary Queen of Scots book if you don't mind sharing? The girlie and I just finished a Royal Diaries fictional Mary Queen of Scots book that sparked our interest in her and that time period. At the library the other day, I didn't see a good bio or historical era book that looked like something we'd enjoy. There were only two choices lol. Let us know about your book!

mcphlips, have your tried the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series? They're great for light reading and guaranteed for laughs.
