Doesn't this book look wonderful?
I'm going to pick up a copy. Thought many of you might enjoy it too.

Sounds like my mom's upbringing. Wonder if she'd like to look at the book.

sounds good. I am not sure I'd like to know how to scrub a picgs head to make head cheese, but I like the idea of the book and i might grab it if it's at the library.

My library does not have it but I am putting in an interlibrary loan request to see if they can find it somewhere else. It sounds wonderful and I would love to read it. Thanks for sharing it with us.

If she wrote her web site she is a wonderful writer. I love learning about the people of the past. It makes it more real for me then just a bunch of dates.

It sounds like just my kind of book. I've requested it through interlibrary loan...they have it in the town over, so I should have it by the end of the week. Thanks for the recommendation

I finished reading this the other night...it was pretty interesting. It wasn't written as a 'story' though, so it was possible to just read the chapters I thought sounded interesting.
