How awful. Only 11 years old. Besides the fact that she was driving, she had been drinking! Where are the parents?

That's awful. Just a short while ago, I heard about a 12-year-old girl who, aided by her 23-year-old boyfriend, murdered her mother, father and brother. What's going on in this world??

I am rarely shocked by anything. However, this one really shocked and upset me. I cannot imagine what this mother and son are going through. I have been saying prayers for them since I read it.http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss...ang_rape_teens

I totally agree, kids these days basically run their parents, it's a shame too.

Taken from the first story:
[QUOTE][Duck declined to release the girl's blood alcohol level but said a blood test at the hospital showed it was higher than .02, the legal limit for minors./QUOTE]
Since when is there a "legal limit" for minors? What is the point of them being classified as minors than anyway?!
It's scary. And people wonder why young people like myself choose not to have children!

Goodness, all those stories are just horrible. That poor 12 year old boy being forced to have sex with his own Mother. Some people are just so sick.

Was just going to post this & saw your post. http://www.enidnews.com/enidnews/hom...187004635.html
I try to keep it in the back of my mind that the good kids outnumber the bad and we as a society need to encourage, nurture and be good role models for our family, friends & neighbors. Spend time with your children & their friends, be involved whether they want you to be or not. Stick your nose in their business, set boundaries & stick to them. Make that follow up call to an adult to make sure your child is where he/she says they are and doing what they are supposed to be. When they squawk (and they will) you can inform them that you are their parent (not their "friend")and this is what parents do.
Have dinner as a family too, I really think that was one of the most important things we did in raising our kids. Invite their friends over for dinner too. Make it a priority. Think about it, things weren't as nuts when families spent more time together. I so strongly believe in traditional families and know many in the world are a product of divorce and understand that many had to get out. Staying married & raising kids isn't easy but so worth the effort for this generation & generations to come.
Love, guide & hold on tight for the ride does get bumpy at times.
