karone---Mrs. Weasley's remark surprised me too, but I think the author was just emphasizing the pressure Mrs. W. was under to protect her family. But still, in a kids' book....
Thanks for the link!

Kaykwilts -- I'm a little jealous of you. I wish I could start them over, all fresh, knowing I had all that pleasure ahead of me. Actually, the first volume remains one of my favorites, though I am definitely in the minority here. I loved watching her create her world.
I liked the name Scorpius for Draco's son, though I think I'm in the minority here too. They're both constellation names, and after all, I guess a scorpion is sort of a little dragon!
JKR answered some of the open questions in an interview. I don't have the link for it, but most of you fans probably saw it.Donna

J. K. Rowlings is planning an encyclopedia that should answer many questions about who ended up where, after the seventh book. But she's taking a break, so don't expect it out anytime soon.

I just finished number seven this weekend...had others to read first.
It is my favorite!
ANyway..I'm wondering how Neville got the sword at the end.. I thought the goblin took it.. It was so good, maybe I was reading too fast and missed that part, can anyone help me out with that?
I hope JK Rowling continues to write, even if it isn't Harry Potter, she is really gifted.

Mcphlips - Neville pulled the sword out of the sorting hat, just like Harry did in a previous book. Dumbledore said when Harry pulled it out that "only a true Gryffindor" could have done it. I always liked Neville and thought his killing the snake with the sword was a great part of the last book.

Lorelei----I wish there had been more of Neville in the last book. He really was a very endearing character.
