Why do I scare myself this way???
SO, dh doesn't like scary movies, and our friends wife doesn't like them either. So our friend comes over with the movie, and him and I watch it. DH and dd go shopping. Well, we just watched The Messengers! OMG, now I've got all the lights on. Scares me everytime for about 2 days. We always seem to get really good movies too.

I do that to myself all of the time too! I saw the messengers a couple of weeks ago, it was creepy lol.
The thing that gets me is that I so look forward to watching a good scary movie like that and then I am totally a basket case.
I love watching A Haunting on the discovery channel, it is on every friday evening , well most fridays but now they have alot of repeats...I keep wondering when they will start showing new ones lol.

I'm not really into scary movies. However, I saw Scarface at the theater when it first came out and it totally freaked me out for weeks!

I saw the first Grudge movie in theaters when it came out. I took our oldest dd and 2 of her friends, my other dd and I were going to go and see I think it was shark tales the cartoon movie.
We got there and to see the grudge you needed to be 17 unless accompanied by an adult so we all ended up going to watch that movie but my dds two friends did not speak english so we saw it in French. I might not have understood all of what was being said but let me just say, it scared the beejeevies out of me!
I won't go into detail for those who havn't seen it but I think "one" of the scarest moments in that movie for me was when it was broad daylight, and they didn't play any music which alot of movies play leading up to a frightening part! It was just so sudden and out of the blue, there was no way to predict anything scary happening in that paticular scene.

bee! Wasn't that movie the best! The second one is even better! There is supposed to be a third coming out, we'll get that on DVD when it comes.
The Messenger is kind of like that movie! I kept waking up all night looking at the ceiling!!!

It just isn't the same trying to watch them alone.
I don't like movies with blood and gore but I do like those ghost story ones for sure lol.
Did you see An American Haunting? I think that is what it is called. I saw it, that one was really creepy too!

I just asked my son about it and he saw it, he actually has it too. He said though that he didn't care for it and he didn't think that I would either.
My friend just called me a few minutes ago between posting this message and she said that she didn't like it either.
Let me know if you watch it and if you like it I will watch it too, we seem to like the same movies

Hahaha bf can attest to this: usually I let him pick the movies we see in theatre and I get to choose what we rent. (I dont mind waiting to see movies). I usually get so scared that I end up smoooshing into him so much that Im buried
and then I zonk out from being so cozy and snuggled LOL. He ends up watching the movie and then tells me all about it after its finished and I wake up during the credits. Hahahahaha!
IF its a really good one that keeps me enthralled he'll occasionally screech or flinch/convulse really hard to scare the bejesus outta me which then makes me shift to my side of the couch/bed LOL and I cuddle up on my own
Yes, Im not afraid to admit that I am a chicken!
