Ok, here are a few questions to get you started:
Have you ever read another Prey book before, or a book by this author?
What did you think of the characterization? Did you have a favorite character?
What were your feelings towards Clara Rinker?
Was this your typical genre?
What were your favorite parts of the book? Least favorite?
HOpefully that will get things moving!

Ok, here are a few questions to get you started:
Have you ever read another Prey book before, or a book by this author? yes but i don't really remember which one. he has a lot of them
What did you think of the characterization? Did you have a favorite character? i liked lucas. although i didn't like the continuous mention of the pregnancy and his house he was so worried about. they just didn't fit in the story for me.
What were your feelings towards Clara Rinker? i kinda liked her at different times esp when she was being so crafty with the people from her past and using them for her benefit. everyone was so scared of her.
Was this your typical genre? yes
What were your favorite parts of the book? Least favorite? i hated the end when clara got hers. i liked the part of wondering about what was going to happen at the party--when clara had put the dried blood on the windowsill-you never knew who she was working with
i wish he would have had a couple of scenes of clara with her fiance to build up to when he got shot to see clara as more of a person than a killer. so i could have more feeling toward her. esp about her losing the baby.

Have you ever read another Prey book before, or a book by this author?
No
What did you think of the characterization? Did you have a favorite character? I like the way he handled most of the charecters. I did not like how wishy washy he made Mallard considering he was suppose to be a top (FBI??) person. I guess my favorite charecter was probably Clara because she never gave up. I also think that he could have avoided some of extra fluff with the house and Moalloy and Mallard and had the fiance's father play more into it. That could've added a lot more twists and might have mde more sense as far as who was helping her.
What were your feelings towards Clara Rinker?
I didn't like that she was a bad guy. I kept expecting her to finish what she started, run, and remake her life living on the right side of the law.
Was this your typical genre?
Sometimes it is. I go through spurts with different genres. This week it might be this and next week it might be classics.
What were your favorite parts of the book? Least favorite?
I think my favorite parts of the book were when Lucas and Clara had their phone conversations. They seemed very in tune with each other. My least favorite was that she actually went after Lucas and that she died. I thought thae auther had developed enough respect/understanding between the two charecters that she wouldn't have went after him.

You two seem to have similar feelings to me!
This is my first Prey book. It is not my usual genre, but on occasion I will read several books like this in a row! (Go figure!)
I loved the character of Clara. I like Lucas -- but he is sort of, I don't know, dry? I agree about the house building, etc. I guess it was meant to show more about what Lucas was like as a person, but I think the author could have done that better by showing more of his personality.
I hate that Clara died. I think she would have been a good person to keep around for a sequel!
I too wish that they would have gone more in depth, maybe an entire chapter, about Clara and her fiance. I was already liking her just from how she survived the gunshot and felt for her losing the baby. I think I would actually have liked a whole book about Clara -- her whole life, how she became a killer!

i agree with you. i think he should have went more into detail about clara. and she would have been a good character to keep around. i thought it was something of a letdown that she died. and as smart as she had been all through the book -- how she walked into the trap.

Ahhh....a book about how she became a killer and then ended up in Mexico where she was settling down....I wonder if there is one where she does get away. If there isn't it could still happen. There could be a prequel.
