Who?
Only kidding, I do know her but only because of the consumption machine that is the western world.
There would be no need for a forum like this if we weren't obsessed with celebrity, their lifestyles and their products. I think I have seen her hawking perfume on television. Do we remember what Bill Hicks said about people who hawked stuff on television? "Suckers of Satan's ...."
I am happy that someone has what they have always wanted (so long as it is no more than two) but it is only a baby and millions of them are born every year.
There is nothing special about her baby but making a song and dance of it makes her baby seem special. That leads to celebrity, purchasing of gossip magazines and whatever else crap they want to hawk on us. Wasteful spending and debt is soon upon you.
You won't see Nicole on this forum. Ever! Her accountant, her agent and her marketing machine will see to that. Hawking garbage to others so she can live a lifestyle that is unnatural, unsustainable and certainly not frugal.
And so endeth the lesson. Go forth my children and frugaply.

I hope she can carry the baby without any complications. I read she miscarried with one when she was married to Tom Cruise.

awwww...why such negativity John? We are all children of God....and no she isn't any more "special" than anyone else but she is of interest because we see her on TV and in the movies.
Honestly, I wouldn't want her life no matter how much money she has. I think celebrities live a much harder life than you might suspect. She can't even pick a little boogie in public or pull her undies out of her crack or the whole world will be talking about her like she is a freak.
So, chill out and let her be!

I think babies are all wonderful and special and different from every other one of the millions that were born that year! I'm not big on celebrity obsession either but babies are NEVER ordinary. I wonder which 8 of the 10 fantastic kids some friends of our family have that you would eliminate? Those kids will all contribute something great to those they come in contact with.but it is only a baby and millions of them are born every year.

John raises an interesting point. We all like to focus on celebrity lives because they offer an escape from our own hum drum lives and our own problems. You look at Britney Spears and think "I'll never get to THAT low level in life", for example, and it makes you feel good about yourself that your life is not as pathetic.
Remember that most celebrities are very unhappy people with a directionless existence, and often are in very poor marriages. I"m not saying that is the case in the example of Kidman, but an individual having interest in the life of others is a part of being human. We all love to be voyeurs into other peoples lives - whether it be Kidman, our neighbour, or the local butcher is irrelevant. We can't help that - its part of human nature.
Unless you are a hermit by choice, of course
