    Question Netflix feedback appreciated

We are about to cancel our directv ($60 a month!) and do rabbit ears for the one local channel we can receive.

we are considering netflix as maybe an additional venue for things to watch if we want to...the libraries here are good re: videos/dvds available but not great...

anyone use or have an opinion about netflix???

    thanks!

    bloo

p.s. any trial offers out there? (hey i figured i would ask )

I know they offer a 2 week trial, we have them and love them, it is so much cheaper than the movie store, no late fees, etc. Ours only take an average of 2 day turnaround.

I have done Blockbuster online before and I really liked them. They also have the advantage of taking the movie to the store to get a new one. I'm sure Netflix is good to.

I love netflix! I cancelled my cable in july and switched to netflix. I have the 3 out at a time plan for $16 a month. They also just made it possible to have unlimited online viewing with options of several thousand online titles. If you do sign up, go to ebates.com and sign up there. If you use the netflix link through ebates, ebates will give you $18 back. And yes, there is a 2 week free trial period. If you dont cancel within the two weeks, they will automatically bill you.

I like Netflix too. My only issue is that it seems they don't check the quality of their DVD's as often as they should. On several occasions I've been well into a movie only to have the disc skip or just stop being playable. Still...if you send it back they'll send another one.

I LOVE Netflix! We don't have cable and our American tvs don't pick up the British tv stations. So we watch all our fave sitcoms, old movies, new movies from Netflix. I love their online customer service. I've had DVD's that were jumpy-went online and they immediately sent out a replacement disc- no questions asked.

Love it here too...btw, if you do MyPoints, be sure to join "thru" them. When I had my rotator cuff repair and was stuck home for 4 months, it literally saved my sanity. Rented all of the old Broadway musicals, Jane Austen era "period pieces", the original "Mame" with Rosalind Russell...good stuff.

We love them! I like the fact that if I get busy (summer) we can turn it off and turn it back on in the fall.

Love Netflix. I've had my subscription for 3 years. I've had 2 or 3 movies get lost in the mail going back to them and they've never charged me for them. (2 of them showed up like 2 months later!) Also, when you report a damaged movie (i've only had a few that were scratched) they get a new one out to you right away. Overall, I'd say do it!

We have used Netflix for 3 years and we LOVE it. Even I love it! With so many of the television shows available on DVD so quickly, plus all of the movies, plus all of the British comedies, plus all of the .... you get the idea, there is a tremendous listing of available things to watch. We have had 1-2 discs damaged and they were replaced pronto.

We have 1 movie at a time unlimited per month for 8.99 a month; we really like it because we really don't need more than 2 a week (what it averages out to) and it's cheaper and easier than a rental store. I've not had any issues with scratching, whereas that was always the case with blockbuster.

I feel like my Netflix has saved me a ton of money from driving back and forth to the dollar movie (45 min away) etc..

I have the 3 at a time program however my kids usually run it for me.
They pick what they like and usually watch 2 movies and hubby and I get one family one.

How it really saves me $ is we never buy movies.
Anything we want is one click away.
So in that regard its paid for itself etc...

    But now we LOVE movies.

I feel like dumping my dish all the time......especially now that nothings on.

Me too I LOVE Netflix, I am not a movie watcher but my husband and kids are and it is great and cheaper then on-demand or going to the local rental place.

Another Netflix fan here! They have a very wide selection & the service is great. I dumped HBO & the other premium movie channels for Netflix & I haven't missed a thing! Netflix not only has movies, but TV shows, including those shown on HBO.
