    Default James Patterson's co-authored novels

Anyone else really disappointed in a few of the most recent co-authored novels from James Patterson?

You've Been Warned Author: James Patterson, Howard Roughan

The Quickie Author: Michael Ledwidge, James Patterson

I barely got thru You've Been Warned. It really was pretty bad. Like a bad record stuck in a scratch and repeating over and over.

The Quickie was fair but I felt nothing for the main character except she was very stupid.

I'm glad I got these from my PBS and did not pay full price. I would have been a lot more upset.

Yes, I 'm also disappointed with his co-authored books. I like James Patterson's books but these do not have the same feel. Maybe they just pay him big bucks to use his name and he has limited input...?

YESSS!! I posted the same thing in the January reading thread. I got both The Quickie and You've Been Warned (thankfully) off paperbackswap and could not get through either one of them, the writing style was terrible and so different from his other books. Even his older co-authored ones are good so I don't know what happened with these two but I was disappointed too! I wonder if we gave or received books those from each other LOL!

Dunno, LOL! That'd be funny. What's your name on PBS? Mine is the same.

I had to go look it up - it's mert. My son has called me Mert Van Squirt since he was about two years old and it stuck.

I couldn't get into the series that had flying kids. Some kind of bird/human experiment?? Anyway, I was disappointed.

Oh that last one was awful! Right now I am actually catching up on some of the Alex Cross books. Just finishing Violets Are Blue.

I was disappointed also. I love to read his books, but is going on with him? I don't even look for his books anymore because they are boring.
