Dancing with the Stars

Anyone watching this season? Who are your favorites? I think this may be a "ladies year."

I love Marlee of course. I doubt she will win -- but wouldn't it be something if she did? I do hope she stays for awhile -- she is very good. But it is amazing how graceful and "in time" with the music she is when she can't hear a note of it. Her teacher/partner is doing a great job with her.

I also like Priscilla -- out there proving that age doesn't matter.

And the Broadway actress (can't remember her name) out there proving that body size doesn't matter.

And of course who doesn't love Kristi? Her dancing looks as effortless as her skating does.

I don't think there are any really bad dancers this year as there have been in the past. Should be an interesting season.

I like Marlee too-she is amazing with how "on" she is-I am sure she can feel the music/beat but STILL-that is amazing!! I hope she stays on too!!

I would say at this point that Kristi will take it though-she is good, REALLY good. But I noticed last night they were acting shocked that she was so good and never been a dancer, but really-what she does is like dancing on ice and keeping time-so she (in my mind) is just learning to do what she already does, just without the ice!! She is doing amazing!!

Priscilla does seem to be doing well too though, but not quite as good as Kristi-but does her face look puffy? Has she been ill? I just keep looking at her and she just looks puffy in the cheeks or something...maybe she always did and I never noticed?

Pretty sure that Sandler wont take it. (Think that is his name) I would say he is there for fun, much like Jerry Springer was? LOL

I don't watch that show but I did see the women with one leg on the show and thought how cool that was....

if she has one leg and can dance well enough to be in a dance contest... she has overcome her barriers.
Her being on that show was a good lesson to anyone who feels sorry for themselves because they have physical limitations.
That woman must have a strong will and that is maybe why one of the worlds most famous people was attracted to her and married her.

Maybe the same reason she divorced him too......

Prisilla's face looks so puffy because of all the plastic surgery. I heard this on the radio, so it might not be true, but I think it is.
I love this show - Kristi, Marlee, and Shannon are my favorites. Mario isn't too bad either. But, Monica Seles just can't dance, can she? I hope that Penn/Teller man gets kicked off because I think he's just got a stinky attitude.
I agree - this season seems like it'll be a good one.

I love this show!! I am a closet want-to-be ball room dancer.
My favorite is the girl from Hairspray-she is having a ball!
Monica's performances look painful to me-remember Kenny Main?

i love this show its the only reality show that i watch i think prisilla has had one to many botox shots she cant move her face

Isn't that sad? I saw a pic of her at LisaMarie's latest wedding(it was a while ago, in the People mag. at work), and I didn't even recognize her. She looked like she'd been stung by bees(even puffier than today..maybe the botox was new?). She is sooooo gorgeous, why would you do that to yourself? And do they think we don't notice?

Well, I do not now how SHE cannot see how puffy she is! I sat watching her and kept thinking-has she had too much work done? Did she JUST get work done? THen I started to feel bad thinking maybe she had been sick and it was meds she was one or something...gosh-she is ruining herself!!

And I agree-not real big on Pinn/Teller-not one of my favs in anything!

Does anyone else think the judges are being unfair to Marissa (the actress from Hairspray)? Their comments are getting harsher and harsher to the point of being downright cruel. It looks to me like discrimination based on her weight. She seems healthy and has much more energy and stamina to do the dances than her thinner counterparts. She's getting out there and nailing her routines -- it shouldn't matter that she's not a size 0.

I was concerned about Marlee in the beginning -- not because I didn't think she could do it. She does pretty much anything she sets her mind to. I was afraid the judges and voting audience just wouldn't be able to get their minds around the idea of a deaf dancer. So far I am being proved wrong there.

BTW the puffiness in Priscillas face seemed gone last night. If it was due to plastic surgery or Botox I am disappointed. I have problems with anyone who tries to hide the obvious physical aspects of getting older. Our society seems to have this idea that it's okay to be old as long as you don't look your age -- that is so silly. As a member of the over 50 crowd I do wish we had more role models of graceful aging naturally.

But it's this weight thing that really disturbs me.
