I received the book yesterday.I've only read about 10 pages so far.

has anyone read this? or currently reading? Do you plan to?

Sherry~ It's about Todd Beamer,the guy from United Flight 93 of 9-11...one of the Heros

So far it's very good.A tearjerker!

I'm not really sure how I feel about her writing a book about him. She tried to patent the use of the term "Let's Roll" and now has written the book, and it seems to me as if she is trying to profit from her husbands death. So many families were affected by 9/11, mine included, and I just feel weird about her doing this. I may be wrong...it may be fabulous, but I'm not going to buy it. I'll be interested to hear what those of you who read it have to say.

I didn't know about the patent thing when I bought the book.I prob would've still bought it though....

I finished the book in 2 days and it was very good.Very emotional,and a tear jerker.I cried through most of the book.
Some parts were funny.He seemed real laid back and some what of a comedian...or tried to be LOL
To hear what she's been through all her life,and through her marriage.She was very honest and even told about martial probs they had (he was a workaholic).Now she's raising 3 kids alone....it's just very sad but worth the read

"Let's Roll!" Was something Todd said to their kids when they were getting ready to leave to go someplace.
For example... " Get your shoes on..hurry up...Let's Roll..."

Also,on the plane when he was speaking to the 911 operator..she heard him tell the other guys that were planning the take over 'Are you ready? ok-Let's roll..' Thats when they tried to take back the plane from the hijackers.......

I'm trying to look at this from Lisa Beamers point of view so I hope no one is offended. Plain and simple, she now has three children to support. I don't think she is out to profit in a bad sense. Look what she lost.

I think she is doing what most of us as Mother's would do , she is trying to set up a good financial future for herself and her children. I for one would not want to lose my husband and then be told "All you are trying to do is make money from his death. " That's my

on the subject.

The whole thing still brings me to tears. This horrible event has changed me in so many positive ways. I've become less judgemental and more thankful for what I have.

I hope that I haven't offended anyone as that was not my intention. I just wanted to share my compassion on this topic with you all.

Just thinking about those babies growing up without their Daddy breaks my heart.

I agree Pam.I can not imagine what she's going through and I pray to God I'm never faced with that.

If she can make a million dollars with this book...more power to her because she lost so much more.I think she would give it all up to have her husband back.................
