*stayed home so no spending and no gas used
*dinner was yams, steak and odds and ends of veggies
*make crock pot turkey chow mein and froze for dinner on Friday or Saturday. Turkey was in freezer from Thanksgiving
*Used up more freezer turkey, ends of veggies in the fridge to make soup stock. Froze it for making soup later in the month. I will be away until Thursday night so did not want stuff to go to waste
*used up lemons in fridge in a pot of HM ice tea. Really good
*put all veggie scraps into compost pile. never did this before so we will see how it really works out!

I'm going to try posting at lunch - so this is from yesterday up until today at noon....
*Sewed up holes in my pockets in my winter jacket (IMO, a $200 jacket shouldn't have the buttons about to fall off and holes in the pockets after two years, but that's another rant)
*Ate half my meal when we ate out last night, took the other half for lunch today
*Kept the heat down at 65 during the day
*Took my own coffee to work this AM
*We spent a boatload of money yesterday on a TV - but we did save $140 on the TV by buying a floor model in clearance, and $20 by driving to BJ's to pick up a Bluray player for cheaper than they had it at Best Buy ($279 vs $299). We did NOT buy a new receiver (using my MIL's old one, power button is broken but can be jimmied with a pencil) or speakers (using my parents old speakers from the 1970's). The receiver and speakers DH wants are $1500 for both, maybe we'll get those next Christmas.Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)
