all meals at home...
signed up for more survey sites (as if 34 weren't enough already)
made a new italian recipe for dh that required 30 mins in the oven so we mixed up a batch of brownies to go in too....now the oven door is open heating up the house.....
cold quiet day at home.... here comes our winter storm on top of the sub-zero temps....

Well I have been:
~Washing clothes in cold water and hanging most of them to dry, not socks, underwear, towels.
~Went to the store and bought generic Mucinex DM for my son, he has a bad cold. We try not to use a lot of cold medicines.
~Cooked dinner from the freezer and leftovers.
~Took all drinks, snacks, and lunches to work.
~My husband bought me a new scrabble game! Ours is from when he was younger and some tiles are missing.
~Heating the house with wood but still have our heat set. It is amazing how this cold snap makes such a difference. Our heat will come on over night, my son is sick. We don't want him getting chilled.

~meals at home, extra for leftovers
~no laundry today
~ permanent coffee filter
~didn't buy soda at store
~using less sugar in my coffee

DH bought pizza on the way home from work. It's $5.50. It's a good price, but I try to do more frugal meals at home.
Walked DD to awana.
DH didn't have to go out for his Wednesday games. His brother and 2 friends came over instead to play.

Can I join too? I've kind of popped in and out before, but if I remember, would like to post more here.
What I've done the last few days:
~washed clothes mostly in cold water, hung most to dry in house
~collected free eggs from chickens
~sold some eggs to a friend from church
~only bought $37 worth of groceries
~made a big pot of chicken-and-dumplings with some pasta also thrown in (we ate from these two days and the dogs got some too!)
~all of us got stainless steel water bottles from my parents for Christmas so I've been sending them filled with filtered water for the kids' lunches instead of juice boxes
~going to buy them lunch today (not as frugal as making them like I usually do, but I have a coupon for one place that they like with some money off and I also have a coupon for a free kids' meal at another place that they like)
~sent homemade muffins for school snack
~ate all leftovers not just the chicken and dumplings
~ate free chili from parents
~will use free bisquets sent from parents in a bacon bisquet breakfast for the kids in the morning
~knitted on a scarf, watched a movie with kids, read a borrowed book, exercised with my WiiFit Plus for entertainment
~had free snacks and drinks at Bible Study group
That's all I can think of now.

Spent no money
Only necessary electric
Heat off..oven was on so not to bad in here
Everything unplugged possible including coffee pot when done
No unnecessary water ran..well water..pump
Walmart bags for trash..don't buy bags
Microwave used for heating up vs stovetop
Heat was on for about 1/2 hour this morning to warm up house
Permanent coffee filter
Coffee pot unplugged when done
Added water this morning to the coffee grounds for couple more cups.
Maybe laundry/dryer load after 9
Will use cold water if I do
Using box old dryer sheets I found under something. Use twice

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
