100 days challenge
I challenge all of you to give up something for 100 days. It can be anything that cost you money.
Here's what I am giving up:
Using the Credit Card I can't become debt free unless I stop using the darn thing.
Pop and wine
Rental DVDs
I think that I might save myself about 75.00 by giving up those things.
What are you going to give up? How much do you think you can save?Emilie

For 100 days, I am going to give up going to any fast food restaurant. I really don't know how much I will save, but will keep track of the times I wanted to go and didn't.

Hmmm! Great challenge! I have several that popped in my head (i know, i'm bad
). The 1st one being to not to go to Kohl's....better known as my "Addiction Palace"...LOL!
But ya know, I think I'll sleep on this one, and come back this weekend with a decision. I love the idea, but don't want to set myself up for failure either.
I'll be back! Meantime, hoping the best for all who join in.

What a cool challenge! Supposedly it takes 21 days for an action to become a habit, so 100 days without spending on something should have the same effect times 5? That'd be great!! I'll have to give some thought to what I want to give up. It probably should be yarn, but I'm not going there.

2010 My New Year's Resolution was to only wear what I already own or can buy used or make myself. So far, so good. This is only clothes and jewelry. I did buy myself 2 bras the other day...I really needed them!
I'm finding that I'm wearing things I've had in my closet for a while and "forgot" about. I'm mixing and matching more creatively, and I've gotten a lot of compliments.
If I were going to give up something for 100 days, it would be ordering lunch. We have a fantastic cafe that delivers lunch on weekdays to the school where I work. If I quit ordering for 100 days (there's only about 30 school days left) I'd save: $150.00.Wife to Kevin: 20 years

Any type of junk food. Especially anything with sugar in it. I can't get my family to go along with this as they may buy it them selves but I won't

On 4/14/10 I started my 100 day challenge: No sweets or bread.
While this is also a health challenge for me (diabetic) it should save me money too.
Today is the first day that I failed...we had to work thru lunch & it was ordered in for us, so I ate it & kept going. At least the company paid for it, so I didn't fail in that respect.

Just stopped drinking soda a few days ago, so this is what I will give up for 100 days. Don't know how much I would save, will compare receipts.
