Count me in! I've been doing some budget planning for certain expenses for next year, & know that we need to be more frugal in other areas in order to balance our budget. I definitely need this challenge to keep me in tract & to get some frugal tips.

I'm in! We were really doing good . . . until we fell off the TMM bandwagon and I can really tell the difference! Dave would tar and feather me if he knew

We've moved and are currently renting a 30 acre farm and we have asked that we be given first notice if the wonderful people we're renting from decide to sell it . . . so frugal is a NECESSITY because we need to get as much money put back for a downpayment as possible!

I need to join this as well. Our grocery spending could stand a cut, as could our stops for treats at the convenience store and ever-often creep towards eating out more. If I could save more, it sure would help.

Someone backed into my truck and destroyed the window on my camper shell, so I've got a $500 replacement bill to look forward to this year, not to mention that the truck is limping along and will need to be replaced soon. The engine light came on some time ago, and when I took the truck in for service, they did about $2,000 worth of work, only to have the engine light come back on a few days later. I took the truck in again, and they said it needed transmission work, at about $2,500 more. But they also said the problem was not yet serious and that the truck would run just fine for several more years without the work, but it just wouldn't pass a smog check because of the engine light. I had just had it smogged, so I now have about a year and a half to save up for a new truck, because this one is too old to dump another $2,500 into. It is a 2000 Nissan Frontier. Nice little truck, but no bells and whistles, and not large enough to tow anything, so I was thinking about replacing it anyway.

I spent last evening reviewing our expenses for last year and drawing up a loose budget. Will do more after company leaves.

I'm all in! I have already started planning the garden for the upcoming season and deciding where to put the clothesline. I am also going to try and reduce our electricity usage (been on this feat for awhile now) as well as our water consumption.

I'm definately in. I didn't do too bad in 2010 but let some habits slide due to working full time again after years of staying home. With DH starting up his own trucking business this coming year, I definitely need to buckle down and go back to really concentrating on getting expenses down.
