    Today:

Laundry washed in cold and hanged outside to dry.

Using up what we have in the pantry and freezer for meals.

Pierre is fixing an old bike we got from a friend for Patrick.

Staying home so no money spent.

-going to fil's for bagels (bil's turn to buy!)

-going to a bbq at a friends house (may make muffins to bring)

    -clipping coupons

-having another open house today, so the lights will all be on, but hopefully it will result in a sale!

I need to add a couple of things before I forget.

~shopped at a new grocery store in the city today. They had great loss leaders and they show it on the slip. I saved $19.22. It could have been more had I gone in on Wed. because they have double coupons, but were having company tonight and I had to get a few things.
~saving plastic bags the papers come in. I do have to double them, but they make excellant garbage bags. That means I don't have to purchase garbage bags.

    ~No money spent today
~Went to pick up Richard and Chris from my mom's house today. She cooked supper for us, so no need to cook.
~Picked a bag full of cucumbers from MIL's garden. She called and told me I needed to pick some because they are over running the garden. I love cucumbers!

It's Monday and sunny here so:
~curtains open to let in the light and the heat is off
~hanging laundry on the line to dry
~going through the fridge and pantry to see what I need to pick up at the store
~setting up the tent in the back yard for the kids so they can have their buddies all spend the night
~making up granola and pancake mix today
    ~short showers
~taking the little car when I go into town to save gas.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and spent $6.00 on six boxes of brand name cereals. They had Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Froot- Loops, Raisin Bran, Rice Crispies, and some others on sale for .99/box. Full size boxes.

Today-- pest control is here trying to get rid of the buggies, $$ spent there, but it's part of the budget. Not planning on any other spending today.

~spent a couple $$ to send a pkg. to the States today. There are new ways to send packages again, so I was able to save $1.40. Its much easier now to send fq in the mail to the States. Woohoo!!

~continuing to use rain water to flush toilet with. It rained again last night.

~got a caretaker's position at the local post office, giving us a nice boost to our income.

~saved 2 more plastic bags off the papers today. They make perfect garbage bags, doubled up. A little too thin to use one alone. Garbage bags here are quite expensive, so this is adding up to quite a savings.

~eating leftovers from supper last night for supper tonight.

~walking anywhere we need to go in town.

Well yesterday we went to see Harry Potter, so we wont talk about yesterday. LOL. And then had Chinese takeout. Spendy day.

Today, I bought supplies for dh and he let me get a gallon of milk. So technically I didnt spend anything. Had leftover Chinese for breakfast and lunch. It's all gone. Dinner is spaghetti. Got all the fixings here already, so pantry staples. LOL

Unless a cold, cold front moves through, I think the AC is on for the summer. It was darned hot today. I felt dizzy on the way back from Walmart.

No plans for tomorrow. There is a food bank a neighbor wants to go to, but it might be too hot to go. The line is long and the wait can take over an hour.

    ~meals from pantry/fridge/freezer
    ~blinds/curtains open for light
    ~windows open for fresh air
~2 loads of laundry done in cold water
~only used 1/2 the amount of detergent
~tried to dry outside, but kept sprinkling off & on and the sun wouldn't stay out, so had to bring in & put in the dryer. But, they didn't take that long as they had dried some
~shut the hot water tank down for 7 hours (although dh has informed to stop shutting it down cuz it leaks when I do he says)
~recycled coffee grounds for tomorrow's coffee
~having a glass of leftover coffee with ice, homemade chocolate syrup, a touch of sugar and some vanilla flavored creamer I got for free
~used my crockpot to cook dinner
~homemade italian bread to go with it

Not sure what is up today as dh isn't suppose to work. We may go for a drive later, will see.

    Otherwise, I'm:

~using rain water still for flushing toilet. It rained again last night.

~lights, tv & radio are off when not in use

~dh is using his teabags 3 times (what a guy)

~eating free food for supper again tonight. Its almost all gone though, just a few items left.

~eating green onions from the garden. I plan on planting more today.

~no a/c yet. Every year since we've moved to Manitoba, we've had the a/c on in May for a few days and most days in June. Its still cool enough here, we don't have too.

No plans to go anywhere unless I take the neighbor to the food bank. That will probably end up being a driveby to see how crowded the parking lot is. Too darned hot around here to stand in line for very long. The AC is on, house is pretty cool right now, but this afternoon should be a doozy. I hate the heat!!!!

Eat at home. I have leftover spaghetti, leftover chili I need to figure out what to do with(it wasnt all that spectacular so I need to use up somehow), rice pudding and a pineapple upside down cake. Enough to eat around here, that's for sure. LOL

Dh went to Virden to hit the loss leaders at the grocery there, and get the oil changed in his van.

All meals from the pantry/freezer today.

AC on though as it's hot and humid
