    ~Busy week this week.
~Mild weather. No heat, no a/c. I sure hope it lasts a little while longer.
~Yesterday, filled gas tank for $2.50 a gallon. Today, filled spare gas container, 6 gallons at $2.69. I'm sure gas will be going up.
~Throughout the week, I've combined errands.
    ~I've stayed away from Starbucks
~I've spent a lot of time at night cutting out my 48 pages of coupons. I bought 30 jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce for $.50 each. Just stockpiling a bunch of groceries right now.
~When I was shopping, I put back items that I really didn't need. I just bought what I could use.

I know I haven't posted on the Challenge since Monday, but we've had our schedules thrown out of whack here this week.

*I took lunch and coffee to work on Thursday and Friday. Tuesday and Wednesday my job sent me out to another facility for training, so I did eat lunch out those days
*I spent Thursday evening with my parents, sharing a bottle of wine that was half open and watching a slide of pictures from their recent trip to England
    *I recevied a $5 survey check today
*I've received and passed on a few coupon trains
*I've received a free shampoo/conditioner sample and manicure pen
*I've won a toothbrush and some manicure tools in online contests
*I purchased items for rebates, will be mailing one off on Monday
*I listed another item on Half.com
*Went grocery shopping today and did pretty well with coupons and sales. I actually got a raincheck for ground turkey as it was b1g1f and I had coupons for .55/1 that expire next week.
*DH and I ate out today but used a resteraunt coupon
Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

~I usually try to wash my clothes at night, then hang to dry. I was lazy last night, watching all the hurricane reports on t.v. So, the laundry didn't get done. I did three loads today. Only load I did with cold water was the dark clothes. Everything else was in hot water; I washed towels and whites. All three loads are downstairs drying.

~So excited, Just saw in the Meijer grocery add that Purex laundry detergent is on sale for $1.99 for 100 oz. I have coupons for $.35, and the store doubles. So, I'll be buying laundry detergent for $1.29. I think that is a very good deal. I already have a bunch of laundry detergent in the stockpile, but for $1.29, I just can't pass up the deal.

~Made chili from scratch...and it tasted good! Not all my "scratch" meals turn out tasty. There's enough left over for two meals.

~Pulled out my refrigerator, cleaned behind it. What a yucky job! The kitchen floor was cleaned today; so glad that job is done!

~Cut out coupons, mailed out a bunch of cat coupons to a FV cat lover.

~Cleaned drains with baking soda and vinegar. One of my bathroom drains seemed to be a little slow.

~I use Bath and Body Works liquid soap. But, one of the containers still had a little soap left, but it wouldn't pump out. I just added a little water, gave the bottle a shake and it worked. So, now I have more soap. I deciided to do the same thing with all the bottles. Most of the bottles are less than half fall. The soap is pretty concentrated so diluting it worked.

Haven't posted for a couple. (Little long).

Frugal redemption today. kraft Macaroni and Cheese was on sale for 3/99ยข. They didn't have any, so both my mom and I asked for rainchecks totaling 15 boxes, or $4.95. After my mom went through, the clerk didn't give her her catalina receipt. So I got my raincheck, and pointed to the machine and said I'd give it to my mom. I looked on there, and there are 3, $1.00 off my next order. I am on the lookout for coupons too. Hope there are some. So when I go back to get my macaroni, I will get fifteen boxes of Macaroni, for 1.98. You CAN'T beat that.

Bought only sale items at Safeway.

Keeping lights off, working on my work from home!

    * Roasting a whole turkey breast today with all the trimmings. Tomorrow I will boil the bones for broth.

    * All windows are closed. It's really chilly today and very windy for us. You can feel how leaky the apartment is without plastic on the windows. The oven on for a few hours today will feel nice!

    * Cutting out more square for DH's quilt

    * Going through recipes for Christmas treats

    * Watching a movie at home

    *Shades open for light

    * Only have to wash one load of laundry today in hot wash, cold rince, line dry.

    *Making homeade laundry detergent today
