    Post Healthy Environment Challenge!

To kind of go along with the Frugal Challenge, I was wondering what have you done this week to help with the environment. I'll probably post this weekly, if it's okay?.

    ~Laundry with HM laundry soap
~using only organic soaps and shave cream
~eating locally grown fruit and veggies
    ~haven't been eating meat
    ~using all organic cleaners

    * Using Dr. Bronner's for just about everything, including laundry. I've been washing more in cold and the homemade powder doesn't dissolve very well unless I use warm water (gotta love our quirky well water).
    * Have been buying chlorine-free, recycled tp and facial tissues.
    * Bought chlorine-free feminine products.
    * Still eating as much organic as possible.
    * Have been yard saling - save money and give items a 2nd life.

    1. Always wash in cold
    2. Don't use aerosols
    3. Hang clothes instead of running dryer
    4. No un-needed electricity usage
    5. No driving unless I have to

Great challenge Julie. I would love to see you do this weekly.

~walking more rather than using our vehicle.
    ~washing in cold water
    ~hanging to dry. I don't own a clothes dryer.
    ~not eating beef or pork
~eating as much organic as we can too
~drinking water although it is bottled water. I wish it didn't have to be. At least we aren't drinking soft drinks.
    ~continuing to use less plastic

    Oh, I love this!!

I don't think I can play today - as I'm at work. Lot's of waste generated here!

Well, I did bring my food in reusable containers and I brought a homemade Sausage-Egg-Muffin breakfast sandwich (rather than hitting the drive through). And I made my tea in my travel mug.

Oh, you're asking about this week...
I line-dried some of my laundry.
I turned off the central heat on Wednesday. (The mornings are a bit cooler, but it warms up soon.)
I went to Walmart and (hopefully) got everything we'll need from there for about 3 months (saves gasoline & trips out & plastic bags).
I did a bunch of baking back-to-back (saving re-heating/pre-heating the oven).

Well, and I didn't use any bad cleaning products, but that's cuz I didn't clean!
