Default Frugal Challenge July 23rd - July 29th

I didn't see this thread started yet...

    Sunday, July 23rd...
*Washed two loads of laundry using 1/2 the detergent and 1/2 a dryer sheet each load.
*Cleaned the oven using baking soda and water
*DH and I went out to eat, used a coupon for a free meal, only spent $9.82
*DH returned a headset for his cellphone that didn't work ($30 back to us and they will re-issue the $10 reward certificate he used) and some parts that he bought last week to fix our phone line ($25 back to us)
*Not running A/C today, although we probably will tonight

    Ok, so far today:

~ ate breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snack at my place or 's place. He's such a good cook.
~ relaxed and hung out with all day
~ was going to to go to the library, but they're closed on Sundays
    ~ visited a second-hand bookstore instead -- got a book, but I didn't
~ bought me a scrap book and a glue stick for a project I'm working on

Good day with my best friend and favorite person in the whole wide world.

Just wanted to add - I just found some nursing bras in clearance on the Hanes site. I got 5 of them for $27.00 shipped ($4.99 each, $6.00 shipping, plus I found a 15% off coupon code).

Just returned from a trip to visit the in-laws at their summer home. So, we had a weekend away for just the price of gas.
Returned with a bunch of free food from them as they are closing up the house for several weeks and needed to get rid of food before it spoiled
    - loaf of bread
    - gallon milk
    - various crackers and cookies

Given zuchinni, grocery bag full of fresh peaches and 2 quarts of blueberries

Paid for the trip entirely with cash

Loaded an updated Quicken (mine was 7 yrs old and could not download) to be able to track expenses and budget better.

Came home from trip with clean clothes, so I don't have to do laundry for a couple of days
