    I consistently did the same thing every day this week, so have saved it all up for one post:

    - Took the train and/or bus every day, no driving at all;
    - Kept both heat/AC (it was that kind of week...lots of extremes in temp) off all week;
    - Paid off credit card before 0% interest offer expired;
    - Increased my 401k contribution and company stock purchase by 1% each.
    - Ate all meals from home and brought my lunch or ate for free at work every day. Ate the meals I had prepared using OAWC. (Am seriously tired of chicken and noodles, but they were tasty.);
    - Took coffee from home to work every day, no Bucks County coffee stops!
    - Doing OAWC today...making acorn squash soup, bolognese sauce and chocolate chip biscotti. (Biscotti lasts a really long time!);
    - Went to 4 different jewelers to find one who could repair my broken watch band rather than buy a new watch. (My beautiful Fendi watch is a leftover from my less than frugal days and I love it!);
    - Did all laundry in cold water and am air drying the delicates;
    - Made a trip to the library for a new supply of reading material;
    - Unplugged or turned off power switch to all vampiric appliances (tv, dvd, computer, coffeemaker) that draw energy even when turned off;
    - Kept the use of lights to an absolute minimum
    - Melted down candle stubs to make a new candle...will hold me until I can restock my candlemaking supplies;
    - Invited a friend over for dinner tonight rather than go out as she suggested. She's always more happy to come here for dinner anyway!
    - No purchases at all, other than food. Kept within my budget on all categories!!!
    - Resisted the urge to buy a gorgeous black trench coat. Am opting to wait for it to go on sale. If it is meant to be, it will still be there. If not, coats are like elevators and men...be patient as there is always another one on the way.
    - And finally, watched my copy of "An Inconvenient Truth" again last night with a glass of wine and a bowl of popcorn to celebrate Al Gore's winning of the Nobel Peace Prize! He is my hero!!!

    - combined errands and got everything done so I don't have to go out tomorrow
    - made scratch muffins and 2 loaves of zucchini bread - using up 2 small zucchini that were going bad in the fridge
    - used a 15% off total purchase at Archivers - does that make it better?
    - great mail day - received a $10 rebate I didn't think I would receive and a $10 Amex gift check from the bank due to a screw up on their end when they converted our old bank to their system. Also the 2 kids with birthdays this week both received $25 GC's to toys r us, so they can pick out some great toys themselves!
    - someone stopped by offering to grind some of our tree stumps. 4 large stumps ground for $50. That is a great deal! The lady behind us had someone stop by last month offering to do it for $20 a stump and we had received a quote in the mail for $150 for 6 stumps. $50 is much cheaper than the other options.
    - cutting dh's and ds's hair myself right now, so I better get off
    -
