    Default Frugal Challenge 3/16 - 3/22

Thought I would start this for the week.
    - hung laundry
    - dinner from scratch
    - homemade banana bread for breakfast, also made a loaf for the freezer
    - combined errands
    - gave my email to Kohls to receive a $5 off any purchase coupon, the kids all need new sandals, so this will help
    - took snacks and drinks to the gymnastics meet this morning
    - having a fire to help keep the den warm
    - kids had pb&j for lunch
    - got discount bananas that are in almost perfect condition at the store
    - ds doesn't have preschool this week, so 4 days of not driving him there will help save on gas
    - free jelly beans and deoderant at CVS today

    Sunday 3/16
not the most frugal day I've had, but I tried
    *all laundry in cold
*stuck to list at grocery store
    *breakfast / dinner at home
    *lunch at SIL's house (free)
    and the not so frugal....
*DS conned DH into letting him have one of SIL's puppies $$$$$
at least we have the equipment (crate, collars, leashes, etc) because we already have 4 dogs @@ Oh my! at the upcoming vet bills (shots, worming, spay, etc) Thank goodness our vet is inexpensive!!!

    Forgot to add:

~On Sunday, saved over $80 with coupons while grocery shopping (used ECB's and coupons at CVS, coupons on sale items at Walgreens, coupons at Wal-mart for pet treats, and manufacturer and store coupons at HEB) We only spent $137.89 out of pocket for everything we ended up with.....which was a lot!! We stocked up on several items.
