I just made my own facial cleanser!
I am trying out some recipies for homemade beauty products and just made my own facial cleanser. It was so easy and feels wonderful.
So I grated 1 bar of Castile coco soap (coconut soap) and melted it on the stove with enough water to make 16oz...probably 1.5cups water. I mixed in 1tbsp of jojoba oil and 5 drops each of eucalyptis essential oil, Vanilla oil and jasmine oil. let it cool then poured it into one of those bathroom soap dispensers from Dollar Tree. It only takes one pump and my face feels clean and not dry and tight like when you use regular soap. It cost me under $1 to make cause all I had to buy was the Castile soap which was 2.99 for 3 bars...I had the rest on hand.
I also made a complexion cream that is sooo nice. All it is is 1 peach pureed with enough cream to make it nice and creamy. You just massage it into your skin once a day...very nice.
Then I made a window cleaner out of 1/4c vinegar and enough water to fill a 32oz spray bottle...works wonders but leaves a light vinegar smell...I might add some lemon essential oil to it to cover the smell.
I'm also in the process of making a disenfectant cleaner. You mix 3 cups of vinegar with 1 orange peel. Put it in a cupboard for 2 weeks and shake occasionally. Then strain into a clean container. To use you mix 1cup of the citrus vinegar with enough water to fill a 32oz spray bottle. It will make 3 32oz spray bottles. Yay very cheap!

With the facial moisturizer.....the one with pureed peach. Do you have to refrigerate it? I'm interested in the facial wash recipe, may do that when I run out of the Cetaphil that I'm using now (which could take a very, very long time). I've been having a few 'issues' with a rash on my face. Thanks for the idea.

You do have to refrigerate it because of the freshness of the ingredients. With the facial moisturizer.....the one with pureed peach. Do you have to refrigerate it?
I also made a toner last night...oh wow it is so nice...much better then my oil of olay toner/astringent for sensitive skin. I just boiled 1/3c water and steeped 2 bags of Camomile tee for 15min. Then pour into a container and cool. Add 2 drops of your favorite essential oil...I added Eucalyptis. Shake and let it stand for 48hrs. My skin didn't feel tight or sting...just very calm.

I'm interested in the Orange Vinegar. Do you use the whole peel or just the zest? I love cleaning with vinegar, but sometimes the scent is too strong. Great ideas!
