    Was wondering if anyone makes any of their own HBA'S, cleaning supplies, or gift items...If so, would you care to share the recipes and outcomes...

    I've gone back to brushing my teeth with baking soda. I can't stand the sweet taste of toothpaste or the gooey foam (it makes me gag).

    It's also the original antacid, 1/2 teaspoon in 4oz of water.

    Many of the recipes and outcomes have been chatted about in a lot of posts but aren't always easy to find.

    The above link was from a search on homemade cleaner. You can also do searches on other key words like vinegar, borax, baking soda and each should give you a good list to start looking though.

    Have fun reading through some of them and I hope you find what you are looking for. There is a lot of excellent information in some of those threads.

    One of my coworkers is starting to make her own cleaners, etc. so for both of us I am going to compile a basic list - and use what I make in the preschool also!!

    I make laundry detergent and I make a facial cleanser, but haven't ventured beyond that yet. I have to be very careful about the ingredients I use because I have extremely sensitive skin.

    Hmm, maybe because it is a search results.

    In the tool bar, click on the word Search. In the top box, type in homemade cleaner and click go. You should get a few pages of threads that contain those words.

    I make an all purpose cream cleaner I love ( like vim)
    take a squeeze bottle ( old shampoo bottle works well) fill it halfway with baking soda, add 1 tbsp of dish liquid and 1 tbsp of lemon juice (it will foam) top the bottle with water. Shake before each use because it will separate. For a great smell add a few drop of essential oil before the water, I really like grapefruit eo
    use for sinks, bathtub shower, even as a toilet bowl cleaner. Doesn't irritate my skin and no harsh smell
    I ise vinegar a lot too: in a spray bottle for windows and mirrors;
    instead of fabric softener; to remove residue from coffemakers and such
    hope that helps a little
