    Default homemade Laundry soap soap

When making homemade laundry soap can you use any kind of bar soap. I'm sure that some are better than others but I have picked up some for free from a yard sale which says it contains "moisterizers" etc. Can I use it?

I have used other soap in the past and it works just as well. Try a small batch to see if you like it first. It does not take long to make it so if you do like then you can whip up a full batch. I am going to make my next batch with sample bars of soap. Good luck.

What great ideas to use those little bars of soap!!

I used Jergans once and it worked fine.

Let us know how your soap with moisturizer works out - like the idea of just making a sample batch first - now why didn't I think of that??!!

I made the first couple of batches with Jergens. I'm out of that and thought...hmmm....
I think I will try a small batch first. Although since I am single that sample batch will last a while.

I am sure it would be fine. Soap only messes with the surface tension of the water does not really clean them per-se so you should be fine.
