Would you buy these? I wouldn't but I may make some!
I was fooling around on the net looking at various and sundry and found blox.
A blox is a 4 x 4 piece of masonite/particle board (or that's what it looks like) with a piece of steel glued onto the back. The front has artwork on it, and you mount it either on a special board (only $12.95!) or on a wall painted with magnetic paint.
A 4 x 4 blox is $12.95. I don't know what a can of spraymount costs, but it's got to be cheaper than $12.95... Obviously, there are people who will pay for these. I admit they ARE slick! But I think I could do it myself for a LOT less!

You can get magnetic spray paint from your local hardware store. I have a can downstairs. When we put up the blackboard in my pantry (runs along one wall) it was my idea that part of it would be a magnetic bulletin board too.
It's never happened, as I USE all of the blackboard!

You could make those easily. You could probably glue the metal on the back w/liquid nails or contractors glue. Would you permanently mount the picture on the front or glue some sort of plastic pocket on so you could change the picture out from time to time?
It would be cute to make abc and 123 blocks for young learners. I can imagine these stuck to my fridge.

I just booked marked the page selling them. I think they would make awesome gifts. I asked dh how he thought we could make a pocket so you could swap the pics out. He thought it would be pretty easy! These would make great gifts! But we were thinking a slightly different sized block as most pics are 4x6

Yep. Most of DH's prints are 8 x 10.
DH's idea: use foam core, cut to size and use photo corners to hold the photos. A mountable, changeable photo album!

I've been looking for a picture to put in my fr mounted like that on that type of frame. I am having trouble finding the colors of my fr; now I'm looking for mat'l with the colors I need and going to try to mount it on a frame like that.

I would like to see some pics of these once you make them. For some reason I can't picture them. I put photos on my fridge with the magnetic pockets.

Because
DH used to be a pro photographer, we have a LOT of photos to display, his and others. If we do this, it would solve at least one of our problems, that is, how to keep a display that does him and the others justice without spending $$$$$ or a lot of time/effort matting, framing, and hanging a gallery's worth of photos.
So if/when we do this, I'll post pics. If others do it, I'd like to see photos of that too!
